Marietta College Leadership Update
Marietta, OH (06/24/2024) — Marietta College and Dr. Susan D. Stuebner announced today that Stuebner will not be joining Marietta as its 21st president. This is the result of an unforeseen change in personal considerations for Stuebner.
"I am grateful to the trustees of Marietta for offering me the presidency," Stuebner said. "The college is an institution that has transformed students' lives for nearly two centuries. I am certain they will continue to make a profound difference in lives of students for many years to come."
At the invitation of the Board of Trustees, Dr. Margaret L. Drugovich, who has served as Interim President of Marietta College since July 1, 2023, has agreed to continue to lead the College through the remainder of 2024. She said, "It has been, and continues to be, an honor to lead Marietta. I look forward to my continued work with the Board, our colleagues and Marietta's students."
"The entire Marietta College community is grateful for Dr. Drugovich's exceptional leadership and we look forward to having her continue as the College's President through the fall term," Board Chair Mary Korn said. "We will provide more information on the College's long-term leadership plan in the coming weeks."
