Marietta College

Since 1995, Marietta College has selected one student to receive the Douglas C. Green Scholarship, which is designated for worthy students pursuing interests in entrepreneurship during the course of their education.

Each year the Michael Late Benedum Chapter of the AAPL awards up to $10,000 to college students actively enrolled in AAPL-Accredited Petroleum Land Management/Energy Management programs within its region. One Marietta College student was honored this year.

Since 2001, Marietta College has been awarding the Rickey Scholarship in Physics to deserving students. It is a full-tuition scholarship renewable for up to four years that's awarded to students majoring in Physics. Recipients must not only demonstrate academic excellence but also plan to pursue graduate school and a career in science or technology. Marietta selected two recipients for the 2021-22 academic year.

When Marietta College's 2020-21 academic year started in August, it welcomed five students who make up the second cohort of Harrison Scholars.

A freshman from Lancaster, Ohio, was named the lone recipient of the Rickey Scholarship at Marietta College this fall. Recipients are selected on the basis of excellent academic achievement, and the scholarship is renewable on an annual basis provided the recipient continues to major in physics and maintains a grade-point average of at least 3.00.
