Tickets for Loudon Wainwright III's Esbenshade Series Performance Now Available
Free concert to take place at Peoples Bank Theatre
Marietta, OH (10/13/2024) — Tickets for the highly anticipated performance by Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Loudon Wainwright III will be available starting this Monday, October 14, at 10:00 a.m. The show is scheduled for October 23 at 8:00 p.m. at the historic Peoples Bank Theatre, which is located at 222 Putnam Street in Marietta.

The Esbenshade Series funds this free series through the Frederica G. Esbenshade Memorial Fund. Established in 1980 by Harry H. Esbenshade Sr. and Harry H. Esbenshade Jr., the series aims to bring a diverse array of lectures, performances, and programs to the campus and community.
Wainwright first gained fame with his hit "Dead Skunk" in 1972. With a career spanning over five decades, he has released 27 albums, including his Grammy Award-winning album "High Wide & Handsome." His latest release, "Lifetime Achievement," showcases his unique talent as a storyteller through music, continuing to captivate audiences with his rich, narrative-driven songwriting.
Wainwright's contributions extend beyond music; he has authored a memoir, created a one-man theatrical show titled "Surviving Twin," and has made numerous appearances in film and television. His performances blend humor with poignant reflections on life, love, and loss.
