Middletown, Delaware, resident named Marietta College's 2018 Distinguished Alumnus
Marietta, Ohio (10/22/2018) — Dr. Thomas Kaminski '84, a leader in sports health care who has been recognized as a distinguished athletic training researcher, recently received the Distinguished Alumnus award from his alma mater, Marietta College in Ohio.
Kaminski, of Middletown, Delaware, was honored during the Marietta College Alumni Association Awards ceremony on Saturday, October 13th.
In 2016, Kaminski was recognized by the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA), which presented him the Medal for Distinguished Athletic Training Research - the organization's highest honor.
"The time spent at Marietta College between 1980 and 1984 were years of growth and maturity, and finding out about who I was and and what I would become," said Kaminski, who is a leading expert on issues and injuries related to heading the ball in soccer. "I have many fond memories of this place and I'm proud to represent this College and this community as a Pioneer forever."

Located in Marietta, Ohio, at the confluence of the Muskingum and Ohio rivers, Marietta College is a four-year liberal arts college.
