Before his current role, Metcalf held the position of Vice President of Drilling at Newfield Energy from 1995 to 2014, playing a pivotal role in the company's growth and success. His contributions have been acknowledged with the prestigious AIME Robert Earl McConnell Award in 2009. Beyond his professional achievements, Metcalf has made a lasting impact through his philanthropic efforts, serving on the board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Houston and receiving recognition for his mentorship.
