Marietta College hosts inaugural PioSolve hackathon on February 18th

by Tom Perry

Marietta, Ohio (02/13/2023) — Marietta College's Entrepreneurship Program is hosting the inaugural PioSolve hackathon from 4:00-6:00 p.m., Saturday, February 18th, in the Timothy O. Cooper Auditorium (Thomas 124). This is a chance to witness teams of students presenting their creative solutions to real-world problems. PIoSolve is free and open to the public.

PioSolve is a one-day (10 hours) hackathon at Marietta College that engages teams of students in problem-based, multidisciplinary learning by providing them with the opportunity to examine the root causes of a local, regional, or global social, environmental, political, or economic problem, and design creative and feasible solutions to the problem. The main way PioSolve is different from other hackathons is that the recommended solutions must be followed by an outline of the action plans that students themselves will be able to implement.
