Marietta College hosting Read-In of Banned Books on March 27

by Tom Perry

Marietta, OH (03/15/2024) — Please join Marietta College for an all-campus (employees and students) read-in of banned books on Wednesday, March 27, from 3:30-5:00 p.m. at the Kremer Amphitheatre on The Christy Mall (upstairs in Gilman in case of bad weather).

Consider selecting a passage to read from a book that meant something to you or still does today. A quick internet search will let you know if your meaningful book has been banned or challenged. You can also make a selection from the most challenged/banned books of all time HERE. Select a passage to read (2-5 minutes) to the group.

Anyone can drop in to read (sign up not required), but if you sign up by March 19, your office/department/group will be included on a small poster and your group will get a copy. SIGN UP HERE.
