Forbes.com continues to rank Marietta among best U.S. Colleges
College also considered one of the top colleges in Ohio
Marietta, Ohio (08/09/2017) — Marietta College has once again been recognized among "America's Top Colleges," in an annual report published by Forbes.com.
Of the approximately 3,000 accredited colleges and universities in the United States, Forbes ranks 650 undergraduate institutions based on the quality of the education they provide and how much their students achieve.
Marietta ranks 470th overall, while also ranking 107th among all Midwest colleges and 18th in Ohio among four-year schools. The College is ranked as the 163rd best Liberal Arts Universities and the 311th best private college in the U.S.
Now in its 10th year, Forbes Top Colleges ranking has always placed its focus solely on the direct benefits a college or university provides students. To calculate this year's list, Forbes used the following metrics: post-graduate success (35 percent), debt (20 percent), student experience (20 percent), graduation rate (12.5 percent) and academic success (12.5 percent).
