by Tom Perry

Marietta, Ohio (10/22/2018) — Les Harris '65, who was able to recruit more than 95 of his fraternity brothers to contribute to a scholarship, recently received the Liz Tribett MCAA Service Award from his alma mater, Marietta College in Ohio.

Harris, of Dayton, Ohio, was honored during the Marietta College Alumni Association Awards ceremony on Saturday, October 13th.

Harris recruited those Alpha Tau Omega brothers during the ATO's 125th anniversary and the established the Roger Patterson ATO Scholarship that is given to a deserving ATO student each year.

"I do, however, love to look back on the four years I spent here and the memories created," he said. "Although, I must admit that I still have nightmares about missing classes. And I do love to come back to see what is new and what remains from my time on campus. To reminisce. To hear stories. To tell stories. And to share experiences. … The truth is, I've been a better alumnus than I ever was a student."
