by Tom Perry

Marietta, Ohio (09/12/2018) — Marietta College's Oratorio Chorus, which is open all community members, is conducting rehearsals from 7:00-9:00 p.m. on Mondays in the Hermann Fine Arts Center, Room 217.

Experience is not required and anyone who is interested in singing should attend the next rehearsal. There is no charge to be a member of the chorus.

This year will mark the Oratorio Chorus' 92nd annual performance of Handel's Messiah. The performance will take place at The Basilica of St. Mary of the Assumption and will begin at 7:00 p.m., Sunday, December 2nd. The concert is free and open to the public.

"Handel's Messiah is some of the greatest music ever composed and it is such a wonderful experience to prepare and perform it each year," said Dr. Jay Dougherty, Director of Choral Activities. "For anyone wanting to sing, it will be an unforgettable experience."
