Students organize inaugural Oil & Gas Technical Exhibition on Nov. 10
More than 40 companies will provide hands-on experience from 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
Marietta, Ohio (10/24/2017) — Organized by students, the Marietta College Oil and Gas Technical Exhibition will feature more than 40 companies relevant to the oil and gas industry to campus on Friday, November 10th.
"This event is extremely exciting and valuable for our students because of the number of companies that we could commit to attending in such a short amount of time," said Evan Levine '18 (McDonald, Pennsylvania). "Given the current state of the oil and gas industry, internships have become more competitive, and opportunities to learn about the latest technology can be harder to obtain."
From 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. in the Dyson Baudo Recreation Center, the companies will have equipment and tools to help engage students in what it means to be in the oil and gas industry.
"The goal of this event is to create a networking and hands-on learning environment for students to build on their knowledge of the industry," Levine said.
He added that there would be a variety of speakers and content being presented while the exhibition floor is open.
Anyone interested in registering or learning more about the presenters should go to www.mcogte.org. Registration free to everyone, while the lunch at 11:30 a.m. is $10 for community and industry members.
