Retired President of PRO-TEC Coating to speak at Economic Roundtable on Jan. 31
Paul Worstell also delivering a Leadership Q&A at 4 p.m. Jan. 30
Marietta, Ohio (01/25/2019) — Paul Worstell, retired president of PRO-TEC Coating Company, will speak to the Economic Roundtable of the Ohio Valley at noon, Thursday, January 31st, at the Parkersburg Country Club.
Worstell will speak about "Process Wrapped in Culture: PRO-TEC's Performance Excellence Journey."
Worstell, the 2018-19 Fitzgerald Executive-in-Residence at the McDonough Center, supports organizations with executive coaching, leadership training, cultural transformation, and leadership retreats.
In 2010, he retired as president from PRO-TEC Coating Company in Leipsic, Ohio, a joint venture partnership of U.S. Steel and Kobe Steel, Ltd. of Japan. Before joining PRO-TEC, he spent 26 years with U.S. Steel's operations in the Pittsburgh region. After retiring from U.S. Steel, Worstell served for six years as a business coach with Six Disciplines Consulting.
He earned a bachelor's degree in business economics from Mount Union College and an MBA from the University of Findlay. Worstell serves as chairman of the Board of Trustees of The Partnership for Excellence. He also serves on the board of The Baldrige Foundation, The Blanchard Valley Health System, The Findlay Area YMCA, and The University of Findlay College of Business Advisory Board.
Worstell has been a lecturer at The University of Findlay, the University of Mount Union and Ohio Northern University on topics of Leadership. Worstell has served as an adjunct professor teaching Organizational Leadership and is a past Dana Chair as the executive-in-residence at the University of Findlay.
He will also be conducting a Leadership Q&A at 4 p.m., Wednesday, January 30th, in McDonough 205.

The Economic Roundtable of the Ohio Valley is a non-partisan non-political educational organization that formed in 1982 as a result of collaboration between the Business and Economics Department at Marietta College and a mix of business, civic and educational leaders. The object of the Economic Roundtable is to promote an interest in and to enlighten its members and others in the community on important governmental, economic, and social issues. Since its inception, the Economic Roundtable of the Ohio Valley has presented the Ohio Valley with more than 160 distinguished speakers who have enlightened and informed ERT members with their fascinating discussion on a broad scope of governmental, economic and social issues.
