Marietta College ranks well among small colleges in Ohio
Marietta, OH (01/02/2024) — The 2024 Academic Influence rankings list Marietta College as the 13th-best small college in Ohio, according to a report from AcademicInfluence.com - an online academics and data tracking publication.
The rankings compared all 52 small colleges in the state - which must be fully accredited and have student enrollments of 5,000 or fewer - across several categories, including tuition and fees, acceptance rate, graduation rate, and career outlook for graduates.
Marietta also ranked 10th in overall influence for small colleges in Ohio and the 331st Most Desirable School in the U.S.
Multiple sources consistently rank Marietta among the best small colleges in Ohio and the region. The College also offers the only Petroleum Engineering program at a liberal arts college and has one of the top Physician Assistant Programs in the nation.
Located in Marietta, Ohio, at the confluence of the Muskingum and Ohio rivers, Marietta College is a four-year liberal arts college. Tracing its roots to the Muskingum Academy, which was founded in 1797, the College was officially chartered in 1835. Today, Marietta College serves a body of 1,200 full-time students. The College offers over 40 majors and is consistently ranked among the top regional comprehensive colleges by U.S. News & World Report and The Princeton Review. Marietta was selected seventh in the nation according to the Brookings Institution's rankings of colleges by their highest value added, regardless of major.
