Geopolitical strategist Peter Zeihan to speak at Marietta College
Marietta, OH (03/01/2024) — Geopolitical strategist Peter Zeihan will present Mid-Ohio Valley at the End of the World at Marietta College's Alma McDonough Auditorium on Wednesday, March 27. The lecture and Q&A will begin at 7:00 p.m. A book signing will follow at 8:15 p.m. in the Betty Cleland Room. A meet and greet reception (ticketed event) in Betty Cleland will also be at 5:00 p.m.
Students can attend a special Q&A event at 4:00 p.m. in the Alma McDonough Auditorium.
Zeihan helps people understand how the world works. With a keen eye toward what will drive tomorrow's headlines, Zeihan combines an expert understanding of demography, economics, energy, politics, technology, and security to help clients best prepare for an uncertain future. Throughout his career, Zeihan has worked for the U.S. State Department in Australia and the Washington, D.C., think tank community. Zeihan is also the critically acclaimed author of four books. His first two books - The Accidental Superpower and The Absent Superpower - have been recommended by Mitt Romney, Fareed Zakaria, and Ian Bremmer. He is also the author of Disunited Nations: The Scramble for Power in an Ungoverned World, and his most recent, The End of the World is Just the Beginning.
