Trisha Wendel competes for Marietta College at NCAA Division III Rowing Championship

Sophomore Trisha Wendel, a native of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, was a key member of Marietta College's women's varsity 8+, which had a historical 2011 season.

Wendel was the three seat for the Pioneers' varsity 8+.

On May 27, Marietta represented the Mid-Atlantic Region in its first ever NCAA Division III Championship appearance-the Pioneers also rowed in the 1999 NCAA Championship when it was an event that combined NCAA Division I, II and III teams into one category-in Gold River, Calif., and finished 14th. Earlier this season, Marietta's varsity 8+ won the Mid-America Rowing Conference championship and Dad Vail Rowing championship.
