Jessa Herron '13, of Eastlake, Ohio, is not partaking in the typical spring break.

Instead, Herron has joined approximately a dozen Marietta College classmates on an Alternative Spring Break trip to Pine Ridge Native American Reservation in South Dakota. Marietta College's spring break is March 10-18.

Herron is majoring in Political Science.
