Brittany Waugaman finishes first in Black History Month Writing Competition

Marietta College's Brittany Waugaman of Buckhannon, WV, finished first in the inaugural Black History Month Writing Competition, which was co-sponsored by the Office of Diversity & Inclusion and the Writing Center.

Waugaman, who will graduate in May of 2016, wrote "A Handwoven Legacy" and won a $100 prize. Waugaman is majoring in Broadcasting and is a graduate of Buckhannon Upshur High School.
