Brendan Adkinson finishes second in Black History Month Writing Competition

Marietta College's Brendan Adkinson of Bellevue, OH, finished second in the inaugural Black History Month Writing Competition, which was co-sponsored by the Office of Diversity & Inclusion and the Writing Center.

Adkinson, who will graduate in May of 2016, wrote "A Long, Long Way" and won a $75 prize. Adkinson is majoring in Biochemistry, Neuroscience and Spanish and is a graduate of Bellevue High School.
