Ashley Payne to attend veterinary program at Purdue University in the fall

Marietta College's Ashley Payne of Watertown, Ohio, will attend Purdue University's veterinary program in the fall.

Payne, a graduate of Warren High School, is one of three biochemistry students at Marietta to earn a spot in a veterinary program this spring.

"It is an impressive accomplishment," said Dr. Kevin Pate, McCoy Professor of Chemistry. "It's rare for us to have that many students at one time with the goal of becoming a vet, but they are shining examples of how a Marietta College education can prepare you for anything."
