Peoples Bank Foundation awards grant to Marietta's Nonprofits LEAD
Marietta, OH (11/05/2024) — Shannan Tschopp's week started with a visit from Staci Matheney, President of Peoples Insurance and Peoples Bank Foundation, who presented a $5,000 to McDonough's Nonprofits LEAD Program.
The donation will be used to support specific technology education for organizations, said Tschopp, who is the Nonprofits LEAD Program Director.
"We're really excited to use these resources to provide AI training," Tschopp said. "It's a technology that could really change the workflow for some of our nonprofits."
One of those training opportunities includes the ChatGPT Basics session on Thursday, November 7. Tschopp anticipates the Peoples Bank donation will expand Nonprofits LEAD's efforts to help organizations understand how much AI can streamline their efforts and expand their reach. Matheney was happy to hear how the Peoples Bank donation would have an impact on other nonprofits.
"We really believe in giving back to our communities," Matheney said. "And one of the things that makes Peoples Bank so special is because we know that if we are able to help our communities grow, then in turn it will help us grow. And one of the things that we take pride in is our nonprofit organizations."
