Marietta College STREAM Camp applications due by April 1

Marietta, Ohio (03/10/2023) — Marietta College's Education Department is excited to host STREAM Camp, a three-week program from June 5-23. Applications are due by April 1 and can be obtained by emailing Dr. Raven Cromwell (rnc002@marietta.edu) or Dr. Amanda Rider (anr003@marietta.edu).

The camp is designed to assist students in the development of improved reading abilities, oral and written communication skills, and positive attitudes toward reading. Students will also receive instruction in science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics. Children's literature and hands-on experiences are used as primary instructional tools.

The camp, which is for rising first graders through rising fifth graders, is held on the Marietta College campus from 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. The students work in small groups with future teachers (Marietta College students). The theme this year is Citizen Scientist.

The cost to attend the camp is $300; however, full and partial scholarships are available to those who qualify for free and reduced lunch. No other discounts are available. Everyone must pay the $20 fee when they apply.

Located in Marietta, Ohio, at the confluence of the Muskingum and Ohio rivers, Marietta College is a four-year liberal arts college.
